Padma Vibhushan Chiranjeevi celebrates Republic Day with fans

As India celebrates its 75th Republic Day, the anticipation was heightened with the announcement of the prestigious Padma awards by Prime Minister Modi’s Union Government the day before. Mega fans, the Mega family, and the people of the two Telugu states were pleasantly surprised as Chiranjeevi was honored with the second-highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan, making him only the third Telugu personality to receive this esteemed recognition.

Known for celebrating Republic Day every year at his Blood Bank in Jubilee Hills, this occasion became even more significant with the conferment of the Padma Vibhushan award. The event drew a large crowd, with Chiranjeevi unfurling the tricolor at his Blood Bank, joined by Varun Tej and Allu Aravind. Addressing the gathering, Chiranjeevi extended Republic Day wishes to all Indians and paid tribute to the freedom fighters who paved the way for the nation’s progress.

During his 45-year journey, Chiranjeevi emphasized his commitment to helping the needy through social service, attributing the success of his initiatives to his dedicated fans. Acknowledging the pivotal role of his blood bank in preventing deaths due to blood shortages, he expressed his hope that his fans would continue to inspire him for future social endeavors.

Reflecting on the unexpected honor of the Padma Vibhushan, Chiranjeevi recalled receiving the Padma Bhushan on Republic Day in 2006 and expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support. He congratulated all the Padma awardees and shared similar sentiments on social media, expressing overwhelming gratitude to his audience, friends, and supporters who have been instrumental in his journey.

In a heartfelt message, Chiranjeevi thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the recognition, acknowledging that while he feels he has done little, the government’s acknowledgment is a moment of pride. He expressed deep gratitude and indebtedness for the love and support received and concluded with a resounding “Jai Hind.” The recognition not only honors Chiranjeevi’s contributions but also symbolizes the appreciation of the larger community for his multifaceted endeavors.
