Senior star Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is going through a dream phase in his film career with back to back hits has yet again came up with an action packed social drama titled, Daaku Maharaj. Directed by Bobby, the film has hit the screens worldwide on January 12,2025. Let’s see how it goes.

Story:
A goon from Madhyapradesh named Daaku Maharaj (Balakrishna) comes all the way to Madanapalli, a town in Andhra Pradesh to rescue a small girl named Chinni. In an intense fight with local goons, he crosses path with a deadly villian Thakur (Bobby Deol)’s gang. Who is Thakur? What is his family business? How a government officer named Seetharam gets into the scene? What is the actual story of Daaku Maharaj? To get the answers to all the questions, you need to watch the movie in the nearest screens.

Plus points:
Nandamuri Balakrishna unleashes yet again with his powerful performance. His makeover and stunning screen presence will definitely mesmerize the audience. Be it in dances or commendable dialogue delivery, he gave his cent percent which is visible on the screen. Apart from Balayya, all the three heroines got a good scope for acting.
While Urvashi Rautela is glamour on the screen, Pragya Jaiswal and Shraddha Srinath got a good roles which would drive the story. Both of them gave a good performance in the story driven characters.
Especially, a small kid did an amazing job in her given role with her acting skills. Other, artists such as Sachin Khedekar, Chandi Chowdary, Harsh among others are decent in their given roles.

Minus points:
After an engaging first half, the film’s graph declines in the halfway through second half which would have better on paper.
Mostly, second half lacks an impactful elevations scenes like in the first half. As the crucial portions and layers in the story are being unveiled, the hero elevations in the meantime looks slow.
Climax portions would have been better as the audience expectations are to the next level after watching the interval block.

Technical Aspects:
The background score by Thaman is brilliant and elevates the mood of the film nicely. His mass beats for one song will be loved by the mass audience and Balayya’s fans. Chinni song was one of best compositions from Thaman and it can be termed as a soul of the movie.
The cinematography by Vijay Kannan is outstanding as his color grading and texture are done fantastically. His hardwork in showcasing the entire film on a bright note is visible on the screen. His work for flashback portions is amazing and brings depth to the film.
The color pattern he used for the songs is fantastic and helps to look even more eye candy on the screen.
Editing work is sharp and so is the case with other departments.

Verdict:
In an overview, Daaku Maharaj is a perfect film from Balayya during the festival season. All we suggest is keep your expectations low to enjoy NBK’s power packed performance.
