A youthful entertainer titled, Jabilamma Neeku Antha Kopama written and directed by star hero Dhanush has hit the screens on February 21st. Let’s check how it goes.
Story:
The film is all about the failure love story of a guy named Prabhu. He starts narrating his beautiful story to his fiance. To keep it short, Prabhu loves a rich girl Nila. But due to her father, they both have to separate. After few months, Prabhu gets Nila’s wedding invitation. To attend the marriage, Prabhu along with his friend Rajesh goes to Goa. Rest of the story young lovers actually deals with the circumstances.
Plus points:
Direction by Dhanush is good. While his writing gives a fresh feel with the trendy mindset of today’s youth, his screenplay is equally good. His scene order and movie treatment can be termed as a minus points for the film.
Acting wise, the lead pair gave a good performance and perfectly fitted in given roles. Today youth’s unstable mindset has been presented is a realistic manner.
Other supporting actors such as Rajesh, Shriya, Ravi among others gave an impressive performance.
Minus points:
Sticking to the genre, the makers has made the film without any major defects but the picked up genre is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. It will get outstanding appreciation from the youth audience but might be a Nibba-Nibbi story for other age groups.
Songs are good but not up the mark of GV Prakash Kumar trade mark style.
At the end, the team has announced a sequel for the movie and we have to wait and see how it turns out to be further.
Technical Aspects :
As above said the direction by Dhanush is good. Music work by GV Parkash Kumar is okay but could have been better.
Priyanka Mohan’s special apperance in Golden sparrow is one of major highlights of the film.
The cinematography work is good as the entire film has been showcased in a colourful note and so is the case with editing work.
Verdict:
In an overview, Jabilamma Neeku Antha Kopama is an enjoyable youthful entertainer. It has youthful plotline and scene creation which will get an amazing response from the targetted audience.
