Ramam Raghavam is family drama starring Samuthirakani and Danraj in the crucial roles is slated to hit the screens on February 21st. Meanwhile, the film had a premieres today. Let’s see how it goes.


Story:

Raghavam (Samuthirakani) is a government employee, who works at a Sub-register office. Being a discipline person, he likes his son Ramam(Dhanraj) also be like him. But Ramam is habituated for live a free and Carefree life. How the circumstances between them lead to? What is the actual intension of Ramam? Will be successful with his ideas? How will Raghavam be helpful to his son’s dream? Forms the crucial crux.


Plus Points:

The bonding between father and son has been projected in a realistic manner.

Both Dhanraj and Samuthirakani gave their best in terms of acting. Other supporting artists such as Satya gave their way possible for the plotline.

The episodes during the second half of the film turn out to be crucial for the film. Especially, the climax portions have come out really well with the artists performance.


Minus points:

Lack of emotional depth in the first half proceedings can be termed as a minus for the film.

The introduction of Dhanraj character itself has loopholes in it and it continued in the film.

Lack of commercial elements such as songs and fights can be termed as a minus for the film as it may disappoint the audience, who come for the entertainment aspect.


Technical department:

Direction by Dhanraj should be appreciated as he handled multiple departments successfully.

The editing work is good as the film has no unwanted scenes in the narrative.The cinematography work is decent enough as the lens used during the emotional portions bring depth to the proceedings.

The production values for this limited budget movie are okay.


Verdict:

In an overview, Ramam Raghavam is an emotional journey of father-son duo. If you ignore the commercial side, the movie offers is decent treat during this weekend.
