Therachaapa a rustic entertainer starring Naveen Raj, Srilu and Pooja Suhasini in the lead roles gained good buzz among the audience with its promos. Directed by Joel George, the movie has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it goes.

Story:
Set against the Samudram backdrop, Therachaapa establishes the core of the father-Son emotional thread. Being a leader for his people in the society, Kaasi Babu (Nagar Mahesh) will fight against all odds for his people. When everything is going fine, under mysterious circumstances, Kaasi Babu dies. Being a most lovable son at the same time being the person with a care free attitude, Eshwar ( Naveen Raj) will find out the mystery behind his father’s death? What is the role of Seetha ( Srilu) and Gayatri ( Pooja Suhasini) in the proceedings? What is the role of Anand Raju ( Rajeevi Kanakala) and Pushpa fame Keshava in the plotline? That forms the rest of the story.

Plus points:
Naveen Raj Shankarapu is a perfect fit in his role as a village guy. His makeover as a fisherman is undoubtedly superb and apt to the proceedings.
Srilu and Pooja Suhasini are the perfect pick of the roles they have portrayed. Pooja is good looking in her traditional role which has a key role in the movie proceedings. On the other hand, Srilu gets a meaty role in which she acted in a convincing manner.

Rajeevi Kanakala and others like Naga Mahesh are suitable in their roles. Keshav is nice in his key role. & Rajesh Bhupathi, who was introduced to the Telugu screen, delivered an excellent performance as the villain in the role of Bhupathi Raju. It can be said that he did complete justice to the character given to him
Prithviraj, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Fish Venkat, Jabardasth Ashok, Nagi, Apparao, Rising Raju, Rajesh Bhoopathi, Naga Vamsi, Srinivas Nesa, Chandra All above artists did well in their given crucial roles.

Minus points:
While the action part in the movie is good, rest of the scenes looks diluted in parts.
The rest of the movie is good but the routine template blocks at times comes a major demerit for the movie. The proper time and having some issues with the screenplay comes as a major minus for the film.

Technical Aspects:
Music by Prajal Krish is good as the movie has good songs and background Score by ML Raja is fine.
The Cinematography by Azeem and Venkat is superb. The duo carefully present the movie. The editing by Raju Bodasingi is nice as the film’s runtime is kept within limits. The production values for this limited budget movie are good.

Verdict:
In an overview, Therachaapa is an engaging realistic drama. While the director Joel George is fine, adding to it, the performances by the lead cast comes as a added advantage for the film making it a decent watch during this weekend.
