About Hombale Films:Hombale Films is a film production company founded by a first-generation entrepreneur, Mr. Vijay Kiragandur. He entered the film industry with a simple, yet unobstructed vision – to elevate the quality of filmmaking in the Sandalwood  (Kannada) movie industry. Hombale Films emerged to fill the vacuum in the South Indian film industry with a simple agenda to make – High Quality family entertainers with the industry best standards of technical production and where the budget was not a limiting factor.
The initial projects for Hombale Films brought together Kannada Superstars like  Puneeth Rajkumar ‘Ninnindale’ & Yash ‘Masterpiece’. The next outing,  Raajakumara (again starring Puneeth) directed by a young talented Writer Director Santhosh Ananddram, was the one which showed the Industry the  powerhouse that Hombale Films was; with it becoming the highest grosser at the  Box Office at that time.
This repeated trend of success did not satisfy the founders. Vijay Kiragandur on the lookout for his big work of Cinema; ended up meeting then an up and coming,  endowed filmmaker – Prashanth Neel. The story of Neel’s was remarkable that  needed a grand scale to be effective. This was where Kiragandur grand vision shone through – the winning trio of Yash, Prashanth Neel and him came together to create the masterpiece called ‘KGF: Chapter 1’. This was something that was  never seen before in the entire South Indian cinema spectrum. The movie was released simultaneously in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages – the first time a simultaneous release was seen for a film in five languages. The movie received an instant positive response from audiences. The Acting, Direction, Cinematography, Art direction and the film’s score were  especially singled out for praise. The film performed extremely well  commercially and within four days of the release broke the record for the highest  grossing Kannada film of all time.
What Vijay Kiragandur, achieved with his tenacity and his collaborators, was so different from the work of anyone else and on such a massive scale. The impact  of Hombale Films, the umbrella venture of this first-generation filmmakers has  been profound and far-reaching.
This is only the beginning for Hombale Films – The Film House is now working on three mega projects – Yuvaratnaa [Kannada movie with Puneeth Rajkumar], KGF Chapter II and their 7th and a soon to be announced Indian Film with Super Star – Super Director.
