Story:

However, Neha continues to distance herself from him due to certain undisclosed reasons.
Amidst this emotional relationship drama enters Gautam (Ravi Teja Mahadasyam), whose character plays a key role in the narrative. What connection does Gautam share with the couple? Why does Neha remain emotionally detached from her husband? Is there a hidden past behind Karthik and Neha’s marriage? The answers to these questions form the core plot of the film.

Plus points:

Without a doubt, Ugly Story largely rides on the performance of Nandu. The actor delivers one of his sincere performances and his dedication towards the role is clearly visible throughout the film. The effort and intensity he brought to the character work effectively in several emotional moments.
Avika Gor looks graceful in a simple and homely role while delivering a neat and composed performance. Ravi Teja Mahadasyam gets a significant character with enough scope to perform, and he manages to leave a decent impression with his acting.
Veteran actor Sivaji Raja suits the role perfectly and performs convincingly, especially in a few notable scenes. Actress Pragya Nayan Sinha and the rest of the supporting cast also perform effectively in their limited yet important roles.

Minus points:

Though the film experiences a few slow-paced moments in the first half, the latter half manages to cover up those minor shortcomings effectively. Director L. Pranava Swaroop does a commendable job in handling the narrative, though a more engaging screenplay during the opening portions could have elevated the impact further. Overall, L. Pranava Swaroop succeeds in delivering the film in an entertaining and satisfying manner.

Technical Aspects:
The cinematography by Shrie Saikumaar Daara stands out as one of the major highlights of the film, as he captures the visuals in a stylish and visually rich manner throughout. The editing work handled by R. Srikanth Patnaik and Mithun Soma is impressive, keeping the narrative crisp for most parts.
Music composer Shravan Bharadwaj delivers pleasing work with both the background score and the montage songs, which blend well with the emotional moments and key sequences in the film.
On the production front, Riya Jiya Productions has maintained good production standards, presenting the film with visuals and technical quality that perfectly suit its tone and atmosphere.

Verdict:

Ugly Story works effectively mainly because of the impressive performance delivered by Nandu, whose acting and screen presence hold the film together. Avika Gor also emerges as one of the biggest strengths of the movie with her convincing and mature performance.
Director L. Pranava Swaroop successfully carries his unique vision throughout the narrative, presenting the story with a fresh treatment that offers a different cinematic experience to the audience.

Story:

Plus points:

Pavan Kalyan Battula delivers a decent performance in the lead role and handles the emotional family-oriented scenes with sincerity. Though he shows promise in several important moments, he still has room to improve, especially in terms of expressions and emotional depth, which could help him evolve further as an actor in his upcoming films.
Rajkumar Kasi Reddy and Saptagiri bring good entertainment value to the film with their comedy-driven performances and timing. Senior actors Rajiv Kanakala and V. T. Ganesh perform their supporting roles effectively and add strength to the narrative.
Among the female cast, Rayanchu looks charming on screen and performs her emotionally layered character convincingly. Hassini Sudhir and Vasuki also deliver respectable performances as women dealing with troubled marital lives.

The core idea of the film is presented impressively, and the execution works well for the most part. However, the screenplay during the initial portions could have been more engaging and fast-paced to create a stronger impact.
Since the story revolves around the marriage backdrop, incorporating more contemporary situations and relatable moments would have added greater authenticity to the narrative. The major strength of the film lies in its flashback episodes, which are executed beautifully and portrayed with impressive emotional depth and visual appeal.

Technical Aspects:

Music director Shravan Bharadwaj delivers an impressive soundtrack, successfully catering to different moods with a balanced mix of energetic mass tracks and soothing melody numbers. His compositions add decent support to the film’s overall atmosphere.
Cinematographer Satish Muthyala has done a neat job by presenting the film with visually appealing and rich frames throughout. Editor Koti deserves appreciation for maintaining a crisp runtime and ensuring the narrative moves at a steady pace. Verdict:

In an overview, Purushaha is a serious drama between husband and wife but it’s treatment is so refreshing and leaves the audience in a entertainer mood during the weekend.

BA Raju was a true stalwart whose diverse career ran for over forty years. He began his journey as a PRO and carefully managed publicity for the legendary Superstar Krishna. Later he became a respected film journalist and led popular publications like Super Hit Weekly and Crazy World. BA Raju’s life showed deep commitment and love for cinema.

His work went beyond journalism when he entered film production with Friends and then RJ Cinemas. He delivered memorable films such as ‘Premalo Pavani Kalyan,’ ‘Chantigadu,’ ‘Lovely,’ and ‘Vaisakham.’ Working closely with his wife, the late B. Jaya, BA Raju’s films connected strongly with viewers and reflected his clear grasp of storytelling and craft.

During his celebrated career, BA Raju built strong bonds with top names in the industry. He gave guidance and support to directors, actors, and technicians. His professionalism and honesty earned him great respect from colleagues. His vast knowledge of cinema proved his sincere dedication to the field.

Tell us about your background:

My name is Battula Koteswara Rao. I’m from Karampudi in Guntur district. I have no prior connection with the film industry, but ever since I entered this field, everyone has been extremely supportive. Coming into this industry feels like a very positive step for me.

Why did you name your son Pavan Kalyan?

After watching Gokulamlo Seetha, I felt that Pawan Kalyan garu would rise to great heights. At that age, I saw myself in him and became a huge admirer. I always wished that if I had a son, I would name him after Pawan Kalyan. And coincidentally, during the time of the film Thammudu, my son was born, and I named him after him.

Whose idea was it to enter films?

I’ve always loved cinema. My son used to be very shy and introverted. Becoming a hero was my dream, and I wanted to fulfill it through him. I also believed that his shyness would go away through this journey. That’s why I introduced him as a hero.

Tell us about your association with the director:

Before this project, we were supposed to do a film with a different director, but it didn’t materialize. Later, Satish Muthyala garu introduced us to Veeru garu. He narrated the story, and I liked it a lot. We converted our construction office into our film office.

What aspects of Purushaha did you like the most?

The story of Purushaha is excellent. His narration was also very unique. I particularly liked the love story. This film will appeal to audiences across all segments. I never wanted to make a huge film just for grandeur. My only wish was for my son to overcome his shyness and hesitation. I didn’t make the film for money and I’m not expecting profits.

Tell us about the characters in the film:

VTV Ganesh garu’s role will make everyone laugh. He supported us a lot and helped us immensely with dates. Vennela Kishore garu brings the main conflict in the story. Saptagiri delivered a fantastic performance. Kasireddy garu acted very well. Our heroines not only look beautiful but performed well on screen. Ananth Sriram garu’s role is quite special.
As for my son, I won’t say anything, audiences will judge him after watching the film.

Tell us about the music:

Shravan garu gave us wonderful music. We’re lucky that Keeravani garu sang a song for us. The songs released so far have already received very good response.

How many theatres is Purushaha releasing in?

We are releasing Purushaha in around 300 theatres. From May 21st, we are also planning premieres in both Telugu states. Our film is made for audiences to sit comfortably in theatres and enjoy every moment.

Did you face any challenges during this journey?

Throughout Purushaha, everyone, from car drivers to light men, supported us wholeheartedly. They treated our money as if it were their own and never troubled us for anything. This entire journey felt very smooth. Contrary to what people say, I didn’t experience any negativity or bad environment in the industry.

What about your next projects?

I made a promise to my son long ago that I would produce three films for him. If he proves himself as a hero by then, great. If not, I told him we would return to our village and continue farming. But within my capacity, I will definitely make three films for him.

‘ఐక్య’ పెట్టాలనే ఆలోచన ఎలా వచ్చింది?
నేను సూపర్ మ్యాన్‌ని కాదు. అందరికీ అన్ని వేళలా అందుబాటులో ఉండకపోవచ్చు. అందుకే ఈ ట్రస్ట్‌ను పెట్టాలని అనుకున్నాం. వాయిస్ లెస్‌కి వాయిస్‌గా ఈ ట్రస్ట్ ఉంటుంది. అలా ‘ఐక్య ధైర్య సేనా సమితి’ అని పెట్టడానికి చాలా కారణాలున్నాయి. ఐక్యంగా ఉంటేనే ఏదైనా సాధించగలం. విభజించుకుంటూ వెళ్తే చివరకు ఏమీ మిగలదు. అందుకే అందరం ఐక్యంగా ఉండాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో ఐక్య అని పెట్టాం. నా కొడుకు పేరు ధైరవ్, నా బిడ్డ పేరు దేవ సేన ఇలా అందరి పేర్లు కలిపి ‘ఐక్య ధైర్య సేనా సమితి’ అని పెట్టాం. ఈ ట్రస్ట్ కూడా మాకు ఓ బిడ్డ లాంటిదే.

‘ఐక్య’ ట్రస్ట్ ఎలా వర్క్ చేస్తుంది? నియమాలు ఏంటి?
‘ఐక్య’కి ఎలాంటి రాజకీయ ఉద్దేశం లేదు. ఎప్పటి నుంచో ఇలాంటి ఓ ట్రస్ట్‌ను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని అనుకున్నాం. దానికి సంబంధించిన నియమాల్ని ఇంకా రూపొందించలేదు. మేం ప్రస్తుతం అదే పనిలో ఉన్నాం. కావాల్సిన నిధి కోసం మేం ఫండ్ రైజింగ్ కార్యక్రమాన్ని కూడా నిర్వహిస్తాం.

‘ఐక్య’కి ఇతర వివరాల్ని ఎప్పుడు ప్రకటిస్తారు?
జూన్ 7న నా కొత్త సినిమా ‘రక్షక్’ ప్రారంభం కాబోతోంది. ప్రస్తుతం మహిళలు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న సమస్యలు, మహిళా సాధికారత నేపథ్యంలో ‘రక్షక్’ చిత్రం ఉంటుంది. అందులో నేను డీసీపీగా పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్ పాత్రను పోషిస్తున్నాను. ఆ మూవీ ప్రారంభోత్సవం నాడే ‘ఐక్య’కి సంబంధించిన అన్ని విషయాల్ని అధికారికంగా ప్రకటిస్తాను. అంతలోపు ‘ఐక్య’ కోసం మీడియా వారి నుంచి కూడా సలహాలు తీసుకుంటాను.

మీ సినీ ప్రయాణం ఎలా సాగుతోంది? కథల ఎంపికలో పూర్తి నిర్ణయం మీదేనా?
నాకు సినిమాల్లో మళ్లీ పునర్జన్మను ఇచ్చిన విజయ్ కనకమేడల గారికి, కార్తిక్ ఘట్టమనేని గారికి జీవితాంతం రుణపడి ఉంటాను. ప్రస్తుతం అన్ని రకాల పాత్రల్ని చేయాలని అనుకుంటున్నాను. కెరీర్ ప్రారంభం నుంచీ ఇప్పటి వరకు ప్రతీ స్క్రిప్ట్, కథని నేనే విన్నాను. నేనే ఓకే చేశాను. ఇప్పుడు కూడా నేనే వింటాను. నాకు నచ్చిన కథల్నే చేస్తాను. నా వృత్తిపరమైన జీవితంలోకి నా భార్య గానీ, ఆమె వృత్తిపరమైన జీవితంలోకి నేను గానీ వెళ్లం. మేం పరస్పరం ఆ విషయంలో ఒకరినొకరిని గౌరవించుకుంటాం.

ప్రత్యక్ష రాజకీయాల్లోకి ఎప్పుడు వస్తారు?
మేం పుట్టినప్పటి నుంచీ రాజకీయాల్లోనే ఉన్నాం. కొత్తగా రాజకీయాల్లోకి రావడం అని ఏముంది. వచ్చే ఎన్నికల్లో నా భార్య పోటీ చేస్తారు.

మే 20 అంటే ఎన్టీఆర్, సిరివెన్నెల సీతారామశాస్త్రి పుట్టిన రోజు కూడా కదా..?
నా పుట్టిన రోజుని తారక్ అన్నతో, స్వర్గీయ సిరివెన్నెల సీతారామ శాస్త్రి గారితో కలిసి జరుపుకోవడం ఆనందంగా ఉంటుంది. సిరివెన్నెల గారికి అంతం అంటూ ఉండదు. ఆయన ఎప్పుడూ మనతోనే ఉంటారు. మనలోనే ఉంటారు.

‘డేవిడ్ రెడ్డి’ ఎలా ఉండబోతోంది?
నేను దాని గురించి ప్రత్యేకంగా చెప్పేకంటే రేపు (మే 20) సాయంత్రం గ్లింప్స్ రాబోతోంది. మాటల కంటే మన పని చెబితేనే బెటర్. షూటింగ్ దాదాపు 40 శాతం పూర్తయింది. హనుమా రెడ్డి గారు ఎక్కడా కాంప్రమైజ్ కాకుండా షూటింగ్ చేస్తున్నారు. మధ్య ప్రదేశ్‌లో ఈ మధ్యే షూటింగ్ చేసి వచ్చాం. మధ్య ప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం మా అందరినీ ఎంతో బాగా చూసుకున్నారు.

‘వాట్ ది ఫిష్’ పరిస్థితి ఏంటి?
‘వాట్ ది ఫిష్’ ఇప్పుడు రావడం లేదు. అనుకోని కారణాల వల్ల అది కుదరలేదు. నేను, సత్య, వెన్నెల కిషోర్ అందరం కలిసి చేయాల్సిన సినిమా. చివరి నిమిషంలో చాలా మందికి వీసా ప్రాబ్లం వచ్చింది. స్క్రిప్ట్ బాగుంది. మిగిలిన అన్ని పరిస్థితులు కూడా కలిసి రావాలి. ఆ టైం ఎప్పుడు వస్తుందో చూడాలి.

‘మోహన రాగ మ్యూజిక్’ పనులు ఎక్కడి వరకు వచ్చాయి?
‘మోహన రాగ మ్యూజిక్’ చాలా బాగా వస్తుంది. అద్భుతమైన ఆర్టిస్టులు, టెక్నీషియన్లు, సింగర్లు పని చేస్తున్నారు. ఇప్పటి వరకు నాలుగు పాటలు రికార్డ్ అయ్యాయి. మరో నాలుగు పాటలు రెడీ కావాల్సి ఉంది. ఇంకో రెండు, మూడు నెలల సమయం పట్టేలా ఉంది.

‘నమస్తే వరల్డ్’ టాయ్స్ గురించి చెప్పండి?
మౌనిక గారు ‘నమస్తే వరల్డ్’ టాయ్స్ గురించి పని చేస్తున్నారు. త్వరలోనే బెంగళూరులో, రెండు తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో బ్రాంచ్‌లు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని చూస్తున్నారు. ఆమెకు నేను జస్ట్ సపోర్ట్‌గా ఉంటున్నాను.

ప్రస్తుతం చేస్తున్న సినిమాల గురించి చెప్పండి?
ప్రస్తుతం నా చేతిలో ఐదారు ప్రాజెక్టులున్నాయి. వాటికి సంబంధించిన అనౌన్స్మెంట్‌లు ఈ నెలలోనే వస్తాయి. ప్రతీ హీరో నుంచి కంటిన్యూగా సినిమాలు రావాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను. నేను కూడా వరుసపెట్టి చిత్రాలు చేయాలనే ప్లానింగ్‌లోనే ఉన్నాను. ప్రస్తుతం చేతినిండా ప్రాజెక్టులతో బిజీగా ఉన్నాను.

The film marks the debut of Pavan Kalyan Battula as a lead actor, with direction by Veeru Vulavala. The cast includes Pavan Kalyan, Saptagiri, Kasireddy Rajkumar, Raayancha Kokkura, Vishika, and Hasini Sudheer in key roles. The film is set for release on May 22. As part of the promotions, a grand pre-release event was held on Monday.

While speaking at the event, Pavan Kalyan Battula said: “Thanks to producer Koteshwar Rao garu and Saraswathi garu for bringing Purushaha to this stage. Saptagiri said: “When Veeru garu narrated the story, I tried giving some inputs, but he stuck to his own path and made the film exactly as he envisioned. Koteswara Rao garu spoke so highly about our film industry and produced the movie wonderfully. Satish Muthyala garu gave us beautiful visuals. Shravan’s songs are winning everyone’s hearts and the BGM is fantastic.

Vishika, Hasini, and Raayancha bring so much fun to the sets. I hope all our heroines get great opportunities. I enjoyed working with Kasireddy. I don’t know what good deeds Pavan Kalyan did in his previous life, but he is blessed with a father like Koteswara Rao garu and a sister like Saraswathi garu. “అందరికీ నా హృదయపూర్వక స్వాగతం. సమాజానికి అండగా నిలబడటం, సేవ చేయడం అనేది నేను, నా భార్య మౌనిక మా పెద్దల నుంచి నేర్చుకున్న విలువలు. ఇంతకుముందు కూడా ఎన్నో సేవా కార్యక్రమాలు చేశాం. కానీ అదే ఆలోచన కలిగిన వారందరికీ ఒక వేదిక ఉండాలని భావించి ఈ సంస్థను ప్రారంభిస్తున్నాం. ఈ సంస్థ పేరును మా సోదరుడు, సన్నిహితుడు ఎమ్మెల్యే నవీన్ యాదవ్ ప్రకటిస్తారు.

అయితే ముందుగా ఈ ఆలోచనకు మూలమైన మౌనిక భూమా మంచు కొన్ని మాటలు మాట్లాడాలి. ఈ ఆలోచన నిజంగా ఆమె నుంచే వచ్చింది. రక్తదాన శిబిరంతో పాటు, ఈరోజు నుంచే ఐదుగురు పిల్లలను దత్తత తీసుకుని వారి విద్యకు సహాయం చేయాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాం. ఇది ఇక్కడితో ఆగదు. రెండు తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లోని ప్రతి పట్టణం, ప్రతి గ్రామానికి ఈ సేవా కార్యక్రమాలను తీసుకెళ్తాం.

ఈ సంస్థ ద్వారా ఎవరికైనా నిజమైన సహాయం అందితే, అదే మా జీవితంలో గొప్ప విజయంగా భావిస్తాం,” అని మనోజ్ అన్నారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా మాట్లాడిన మౌనిక భూమా మంచు, తమ తల్లిదండ్రులు, పెద్దల ఆశీర్వాదాల వల్లే ఈ కార్యక్రమం సాధ్యమైందని తెలిపారు. రక్తదాన కార్యక్రమాలకే కాకుండా మహిళా సాధికారత, ఉపాధి కల్పనపై కూడా ఈ ట్రస్ట్ పనిచేస్తుందని వెల్లడించారు.

తరువాత ఎమ్మెల్యే నవీన్ యాదవ్ అధికారికంగా “ఐక్య ధైర్య సేన సమితి” పేరును ప్రకటించి, సామాజిక సేవ కోసం ఈ ప్రత్యేక నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్న మనోజ్, మౌనికలను అభినందించారు.

“ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి వచ్చిన అందరికీ ధన్యవాదాలు. ముఖ్యంగా మనోజ్ మంచు అన్న అభిమానులకు ప్రత్యేక అభినందనలు. మా కుటుంబం, మనోజ్ అన్న కుటుంబానికి 30 ఏళ్లకు పైగా అనుబంధం ఉంది. చిన్నప్పటి నుంచే ఆయనలో సేవా భావం ఉంది.

Hero Pavan Kalyan interview about wholesome family entertainer Movie Purushaha

Pavan Kalyan Battula makes his debut as a hero with the upcoming wholesome family entertainer Purushaha, produced by Battula Koteshwar Rao under the Kalyan Productions banner and presented by Battula Saraswathi. The film is directed by Veeru Vulavala. The cast includes Pavan Kalyan, Sapthagiri, Kasireddy Rajkumar, Rayancha Kokkura, Vishika, and Hasini Sudheer in key roles. Purushaha is set to release on May 22nd. The posters, songs, glimpses, and teaser released so far have all received a very positive response. As part of the film’s promotions, hero Pavan Kalyan shared a few insights with the media.

Tell us about your background:

We are from Karampudi near Macherla in Palnadu. We have no connection with the film industry. My father works in the construction field. I never do anything he dislikes, and he never forces me to do anything I don’t like.

What’s the story behind your name? Whose idea was it for you to enter the industry?

My father watched the film Gokulamlo Seetha even before I was born. I was born around the time Thammudu released. He named me Pavan Kalyan. It was always my father’s dream to see me become a hero. During my college days, there were several film-related events, and I too was very drawn to cinema. Since my father also wanted this path for me, I moved toward this field.

Did you take formal acting training?

I trained in acting under Satyanand sir in Vizag. I lived in the same community where he stays. I trained with him for four months. Sir only teaches- he doesn’t give references. But I learned a lot from him.

Why did you choose the story of Purushaha?

This project came to us through DOP Satish. Our intent was to offer wholesome entertainment to the audience. That’s why I chose a family-oriented story for my debut film. We made Purushaha in a way that would connect with family audiences. People will walk out of theatres with the satisfaction of having watched a good film.

How was it working with senior artists?

Purushaha features several senior actors. All of them supported me immensely. Sapthagiri anna and Kasireddy anna, in particular, helped me in every aspect. I could complete this film because of the support from all of them.

What are the key highlights of Purushaha?

Every character in Purushaha is given equal importance. Audiences thoroughly enjoyed Kshemanga Velli Laabhanga Randi, and similarly, our film will appeal to all sections of viewers. We took great care with every scene. Through this journey, I understood the effort and struggles of film artists.

How was your working experience with the director?

Veeru anna supported me tremendously. I used to be very introverted. He pulled me out of my comfort zone and helped me perform better. I could do justice to the film only because of his encouragement.

Tell us about the support from your sister Saraswathi during the Purushaha journey:

My sister Saraswathi is married and has two kids. She is very fond of me and always thinks the best for me. She stood by me in every aspect of Purushaha. Without her support, I wouldn’t have come this far.

What genres do you personally like?

My friends keep advising me to do action films. But whatever the genre, my goal is to entertain the audience.

What would you like to tell the audience about Purushaha? What’s next for you?

Everyone who has watched Purushaha so far has appreciated it. They believe it will definitely succeed. Purushaha is a film that the entire family can enjoy together. After its release, I’ll think about my next project.

క్రాస్ స్టేట్ రియాల్టీ షో జంగిల్ బుగి కర్టెన్ రైజర్ ఈవెంట్ శుక్రవారం హైదరాబాద్ లో ఘనంగా జరిగింది. ఈ రియాల్టీ షోలో తెలుగు లయన్స్, హిందీ హాక్స్, తమిళ్ టైగర్స్, మావెరిక్స్, కన్నడ పాంతర్స్…ఇలా ఐదు టీమ్స్ పాల్గొననున్నాయి. ఈ నెల 17,18వ తేదీల్లో హైదరాబాద్ లో ప్రసాద్ ల్యాబ్స్ వేదికగా జరిగే ఆడిషన్స్ నుంచి వివిధ దశల వడబోత తర్వాత పోటీదారులను ఎంపికచేయనున్నారు. ఈ ఆడిషన్స్ లో దాదాపు 200 మంది పాల్గొంటారని అంచనా. ఆడిషన్స్ నుంచి ఎంపికైన వారు 90 రోజుల పాటు అడవిలో ఉంటూ కార్యక్రమ నిర్వాహకులు సూచించే సాహసాలు చేయాల్సిఉంటుంది. ఎలిమినేషన్స్ తట్టుకుని మిగిలిన కంటెస్టెంట్ విజేత గా నిలుస్తారు. శనివారం జరిగిన జంగిల్ బుగి కర్టెన్ రైజర్ ఈవెంట్ లో
