To thank the audience and media for the overwhelming response, the team gathered in Hyderabad for a lively Blockbuster Fun Show (Success Meet), an evening filled with laughter, reflection, and heartfelt gratitude.

The hall buzzed with warmth as the film’s cast and crew reminisced about their journey from a small idea born in a modest apartment to a film that’s now finding its place in people’s hearts.

Editor Naresh Adupa opened the event by speaking about the dedication behind the scenes. “The two people who have been deeply invested in this project are producer Sandeep and executive producer Prajnay. Yesterday, after two weeks, I finally saw smiles on their faces — that said everything,” he said, recalling the satisfaction of seeing the film connect with audiences. “A special thanks to Thiruveer for bringing such sensible stories and to director Rahul, who’s brilliant, adaptive, and gave me this opportunity.”

Music Director Suresh Bobbili followed, clearly emotional about the film’s reception. “This film is very special to me — it’s the success I’ve been waiting for over the past five years,” he shared. “My heartfelt thanks to the Telugu audience and to the media for carrying the good word everywhere. I finally had a fulfilling sleep last night! This film brought me peace after years of waiting. My special thanks to BVS Ravi garu for encouraging new talent like us and for attending this event. His presence means a lot.”

The energy in the room remained high as actor Vinay added his own excitement. “Thanks to every actor and every media person for being so positive about our film.Vizag boys, it’s a smash, go and watch it.”

Actress Yamini spoke next, and her words carried both emotion and gratitude. “During my first audition, I struggled with my accent even though I’m from Vizag. Many thought I wouldn’t fit in, but Rahul sir and Thiruveer believed in me. They stood by me when it mattered most. I want to thank my mother too, without her, I wouldn’t be standing here today. Regardless of what anyone said, you stood by me and supported me, Amma. I promise I won’t let you down. Please keep supporting me.”

Actor Narendra’s words drew some of the loudest applause of the evening. Fighting back emotion, he said, “Thanks to the media and everyone saying good things about the film. This is a very emotional moment for me. I’m an introvert, but I wanted to speak today. Since 2017, I’ve been trying to become an actor. My mom used to ask what I was doing with my life. Mom, are you watching this? I became an actor today! “Thanks to Rahul anna who trusted me, to Thiruveer for supporting me on set and during promotions, and to Prajnay anna, without him, this film wouldn’t exist. Special thanks to Sandeep anna, who was scrolling through Reels when he found me and called me to audition. That changed my life.”

The tone shifted to heartfelt humour as actor Joga Rao took the mic, beginning with a short poem about the Telugu language. “People might wonder why I recited that poem, it’s because this film is as great as the Telugu language itself — clean, emotional, and a complete family entertainer. Actors are great, directors are greater, and the 24 crafts are greater still. But above all that, Cinéma is greater than us all, audience is greater than Cinéma, and media is greater than audience because without media, a film can’t reach people. If anyone watches this film and doesn’t laugh even once, I’ll personally return their money. I guarantee it! I’ve done 20 films and countless theatre plays, but this is the only one that gave me true satisfaction. Even before my death, I’ll remember Rahul Srinivas. I spoke to my daughter that night after the premiere, and it was one of the most emotional conversations I’ve had in years. Thank you, Rahul, for giving me a role that made me feel alive.”

Rohan Roy followed with his trademark energy and charm. “First, thanks to BVS Ravi garu for attending,” he said. “I’ve been thanking everyone since day one, now it’s time to thank the audience. Our film worked because of everyone’s effort. I also want to thank Vijay Deverakonda anna Mmmwaah! I’m so happy for this Friday. Our film worked, and everything went in our favour. Thanks Rahul anna and Prajnay anna, because everything we did was possible only because of your support”

Producer Sandeep, speaking straight from the heart. “I actually came very prepared,” he smiled, “but after listening to everyone, I forgot everything! Looks like they came more prepared than me. Like everyone, I used to thank the media as a formality, but this time I mean it. The bookings picked up from 4 PM yesterday — that’s because of media support. So, thank you all.” He then made a thoughtful gesture by donating to the Telangana Film Journalists Association (TFJA). “It’s a small amount,” he said humbly, “but it’s my way of thanking those who stood by a new producer with no background. I’ll do more if I earn more. This is just the beginning.”

TFJA Executive Venu appreciated the gesture, saying, “It’s not the amount that matters, it’s the intent and initiative.”

Journalist Tarak drew parallels between The Great Pre-Wedding Show and Pelli Choopulu, saying, “What Pelli Choopulu was for Vijay Deverakonda, The Great Pre-Wedding Show is for Thiruveer. If this film were made in Malayalam, everyone would call it a must-watch.”

Journalist Raja Babu added, “This film connected with every character and scene. Usually, journalists sneak out after bad screenings, but this time everyone stayed back to congratulate the team. That says everything.”

When Sandeep returned to the mic, he said, “Like I said before, I didn’t make this film as a producer — the film made me one. Coming from a middle-class background, my parents were worried when I said I’d make a film. Now, they’re calling me with pride. The reason behind all this is Rahul Srinivas. I want him to make another film with me before a big production house grabs him away. And to Nani and Charan, you’ll both be directors next year!”

Actress Teena Sravya kept her words short but heartfelt. “A big thanks to the media for supporting our film right from day one, and to the direction department for always being there. I came prepared to say a lot, but after hearing everyone, I just want to say thank you so much,” she said with a smile.

BVS Ravi, who was the guest of honour, praised the entire team, calling The Great Pre-Wedding Show “a perfect example of how media and genuine storytelling can make a film succeed.” He said, “Because of media, the film reached producers and audiences alike. Rohan will be the next star, and Teena Sravya is such a pure Telugu girl, she deserves all support. Thiruveer is an inspiration. From Zee to here, handling everything with maturity it’s not easy. And Suresh Bobbili is a blaster! Rahul Srinivas has made a beautiful film. To the audience, I’ll just say this film is media-approved, and that’s the biggest quality stamp.”

Director Rahul Srinivas was visibly moved as he took the mic. “Thank you, Ravi sir, for everything you said,” he began. “I can’t speak without my ADs Nani and Charan beside me. They’ve been my backbone since day one. My biggest thanks to the media without you, the film wouldn’t have reached here. When I started this film, I just wanted one more chance to make another movie. But for the last six months, I’ve been praying for a hit not for myself, but for two people Thiruveer and Sandeep. Thiruveer didn’t have to do this film with me, but he trusted me completely. Sandeep supported me unconditionally, through every decision. Thanks also to Naresh, Suresh Bobbili, and lyricist Sanare. There’s one scene where I wasn’t confident emotionally, and it was Suresh’s music that lifted it. And my guru Gurukiran garu, when the producers first approached him, he told them I was the right one for the film. Who does that now? And lastly, Prajnay, he’s the true captain of this ship.”

Lyricist Sanare spoke about his contribution to the film. “This is my first film where I’ve written all the songs,” he said proudly. “Thanks to Suresh anna for recommending me and to Rahul and Sandeep for making my job easy. I’m very satisfied with my work, and I thank the audience for their appreciation.”

Wrapping up the evening, hero Thiruveer shared the story behind the making and it captured the film’s spirit perfectly. “We made this movie from a small penthouse that had a single bathroom. We extended it and turned it into our office, edit suite, and even our preview theatre,” he said, smiling. “Despite facing financial struggles, everyone worked with faith. Rohan even reached out to influencers on Instagram, asking them to help promote the film. That’s how much we believed in it. And today, I realized the true power of the media. I bow my head to them. For all my films, word-of-mouth has always been my strength, and this time too, it became our biggest weapon. My heartfelt thanks to the audience, my team, and everyone who made this possible.”
