Popular actress Manjula granddaughter Jovika Vijay Kumar in ‘Agadha’ Movie

The makers of ‘Agadha’ have unveiled a striking new poster introducing young actress Jovika Vijay Kumar, who is making her acting debut with this mystical divine thriller. The poster has instantly caught attention across platforms for its intense visual appeal and mysterious tone.

Set in a dimly lit ancient backdrop, Jovika is seen in a stunning look. Her expressive eyes carry a mix of innocence and hidden strength, hinting at a character that is deeply connected to the spiritual and mystical core of the story. The rain effect adds to the intensity as well.

Interestingly, years ago M. S. Raju introduced Jovika’s mother Vanitha Vijayakumar to cinema with ‘Devi’. Now, he introduces the next generation, marking a rare and emotional cinematic connection across generations. Jovika is the grand daughter of veteran and versatile actress Manjula who was very active in Telugu and Tamil films.

Earlier posters from the film revealed powerful characters that established the mystical tone of ‘Agadha’ . The poster of Mahadevi showcased a divine feminine presence surrounded by spiritual intensity. Another impactful poster introduced Shravan Reddy as Simha, standing in darkness holding a blazing torch, symbolising his journey through fear, mystery, and unknown forces.
Another poster is that of Ulka Gupta who is seen as Mahima and this also grabs the attention with its intense appeal.

Being made on a grand scale under the banner of Sri Adi Varaha Productions, the film is produced by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu and written and directed by M. S. Raju.

With 85 days of shoot, extensive set work, and nearly 45 minutes of VFX, Agadha promises a unique cinematic experience. The film is being made simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi and is currently in post production.

And it delivers nothing short of a beautiful experience with Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya at its heart. After Baby, this pair already holds a cult following and here they return with a completely fresh and evolved dynamic.
Directed by debutant Aditya Haasan, known for the 90’s web series, the film marks his entry onto the big screen and it already feels like a winner. Music is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, first single of EPIC, Sancharame has struck a chord with audiences trending across platforms and further amplifying the film’s growing anticipation.
With a vibrant London backdrop, this one comes across as a relatable and engaging love story. KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations today announced that the release of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been rescheduled. The film, which was earlier set to release on June 4, 2026, will now arrive in theatres worldwide on a new date to be announced soon.

The decision follows the film’s presentation at CinemaCon, where it received a strong and encouraging response from global distributors and industry stakeholders. The reception opened up opportunities for a significantly wider international release, prompting the team to revisit and realign their release strategy.

With the film now complete, the makers are currently focused on locking global distribution and forging key international partnerships to ensure Toxic reaches audiences across markets at the scale it demands. The film is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, and directed by Geetu Mohandas.

With Kara gearing up for its theatrical release on April 30, 2026, the film is steadily building momentum in the Telugu market. Starring Dhanush and directed by Vignesh Raja, the film is being presented in Telugu by CH Satish Kumar under Vigneswara Entertainments, marking a focused push into the region.

Vigneswara Entertainments has built a steady presence in Telugu distribution over the years, backing films such as Kabali, Singham 3, Arjun Reddy, Khakee and Salaar. With a mix of large-scale commercial releases and content-driven films, the banner now brings Kara to Telugu audiences.

In a recent interaction, CH Satish Kumar spoke about acquiring the film, its content strength, and expectations for the Telugu release.

Q: What’s your background?
Satish: I hail from Visakhapatnam. I started slowly with small film distribution. Over the years I became capable of handling big films too. For Uttarandhra, I distributed Arjun Reddy, Kabali, and Singham 3. I also handled Dharmayogi (Dhanush’s Kodi in Telugu), which did good business and received a good reception. I also distributed Khakee in Telugu. Since then, I’ve wanted to get into production.

Q: Going solo? Or do you have partners?
Satish: Solo.

Q: Since no one is purchasing the movie after seeing it, did you make the choice based on Dhanush’s market?
Satish: No entirely. More than stars, content is driving the market. So based on the content and Dhanush sir’s following, I made the choice.

Q: Kubera is a straight film, while Idli Kottu and Tere Ishq Mein are dubbed ones. Based on their performances in Telugu, don’t you think this film is a bit risky?
Satish: Raayan was a success in Telugu too, while Idli Kottu had great content, somehow they couldn’t take the film to the audience’s doorstep. So, I took proper measures not to repeat it with my film.

Q: The producer mentioned that you chased him for quite some time?
Satish: See, for any good content film, even big producers try to acquire it quite early. But I was more persistent with the producer to bag the film, and he saw that and gave me confidence that he would sell the film to me only.

Q: Where do you stand on the business aspect?
Satish: We’ve already covered 80% of the film.

Q: The trailer shows many things, including a bank robbery. What would you say about the movie?
Satish: Well, I can’t reveal much about the film, but I’d say it’s the story of a man who is caught up in some dire situations and pulls himself up from them. Bank robbery is also a part of it, but this is not a heist film. The film has many strong elements of family, survival, and intense emotions. Every family shall connect to this film.

Q: Were there any major challenges in your journey?
Satish: Until you achieve success, everything is a challenge. I just made sure they never became my setbacks.

Q: Are you distributing alone for all Telugu states?
Satish: No sir, we shall be giving it territory-wise. Dil Raju is handling Nizam, and Alankar Prasad sir after a long time saw something in this film and is handling the distribution for Krishna District. Ceeded was split among four others.

Q: So how many screens?
Satish: There might be a Hindi release too; there is a bit of confusion. If that clears up, I’m expecting more than 600 theatres, while 400+ are confirmed.

Q: Is there any reason why you didn’t change the Tamil title in Telugu?
Satish: The protagonist’s name is Kara Swamy and everyone calls him Kara. Since the name isn’t alien to us, we decided to go ahead with it.

Q: Did you watch the director’s previous film?
Satish: Of course, Por Thozhil is such a seat-edge thriller, and it was the film that gave 100% confidence to acquire it at any cost.

Q: What was your conversation with Dhanush?
Satish: Dhanush sir is very happy and fully confident that this film shall be a blockbuster, setting some records.

Q: Is this a character-driven film?
Satish: No, it’s just for the narrative, but the story involves the surrounding village and other elements too.

Q: Your trailer also showed the fuel crisis, which feels quite relevant today.
Satish: See, the film takes place in a time when a similar crisis happened—to be precise the Gulf War. But that is not the plot, just a plot device. And that shall be a good plus because of the relatability.

Q: How was the audio response?
Satish: We made two songs for Telugu. But the reach was so good. Kannamma was written by Ramajogayya Sastry, who gave the character depth through the lyrics.

Q: Any line-ups?
Satish: I’m in talks for Peddi. It should get finalized in a couple of days.

Q: So what do you have to say about Kara finally?
Satish: Kara is a solid family drama that has many thrilling elements in it. Dhanush sir’s character is so original—any family shall relate and connect to what he does in the film.

Set during the 1991 Gulf War period, with the fuel crisis forming a key backdrop, Kara centres on an ordinary man navigating a series of difficult, life-altering situations. The film blends elements of family drama, survival, and tension, led by Dhanush alongside Mamitha Baiju, with supporting performances from K. S. Ravikumar, Jayaram, Karunas, and M. S. Bhaskar. From the posters and early promotional material released so far, Makutam appears to be a distinctive action entertainer with a fresh narrative approach. Adding to the excitement, it has now been officially confirmed that actress Anjali will star opposite Vishal. The duo, known for their successful collaborations and strong on-screen chemistry, are reuniting once again, raising expectations.

To announce her inclusion, the makers released a quirky and engaging concept video featuring both Vishal and Anjali. The video unfolds like a mock narration session, with Vishal, as the director, approaching Anjali to pitch the story. నిర్మాత డా. ఐషరి కె. గణేష్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘తెలుగులో ఇదే నా మొదటి ప్రమోషనల్ ఈవెంట్. హైదరాబాద్‌లో నాకు రెండు కాలేజీలున్నాయి. మహావీర్ హాస్పిటల్స్ ద్వారా మేం కొన్ని వేల మందికి ఉచితంగా వైద్యం అందిస్తున్నాం. నిజామాబాద్‌లోనూ మాకు డెంటల్ హాస్పిటల్ ఉంది. సాయి తేజ్ గారు మా చెట్టినాడ్‌లోనే చదివారు. ఈ రోజు ఆయన మా కోసం రావడం ఆనందంగా ఉంది. విఘ్నేశ్ ఆల్రెడీ మాకు మంచి మూవీని ఇచ్చారు. ఇప్పుడు ఈ ‘కర’ కూడా మంచి విజయం సాధిస్తుంది. మాకు సపోర్ట్ చేసిన ధనుష్ గారికి థాంక్స్. తెలుగులో రిలీజ్ చేస్తున్న సతీష్ గారు, రాజేష్ గారికి థాంక్స్’ అని అన్నారు.

కేఎస్ రవి కుమార్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘కర’ మూవీకి తెలుగులో నేనే డబ్బింగ్ చెప్పాను. నాకు తెలుగు ఆడియెన్స్ గురించి ఎంతో బాగా తెలుసు. తమిళంలో నా సినిమాలు ఇక్కడ రీమేక్ అయితే బ్లాక్ బస్టర్స్ చేశారు. మీ ప్రేమ నాకు దొరకడం అదృష్టం. గణేష్ గారి రక్తంలోనే సినిమా పట్ల ప్యాషన్ ఉంది. విఘ్నేశ్ ఎంతో సున్నితమైన వ్యక్తి, అన్ని క్రాఫ్ట్‌ల మీద ఆయనకు పట్టు ఉంది. ఈ మూవీలో నాకెంతో మంచి పాత్రను ఇచ్చారు. ధనుష్ అద్భుతమైన నటుడు. ఏప్రిల్ 30న ‘కర’ సినిమాని చూసి అందరూ సపోర్ట్ చేయండి’ అని అన్నారు.
